The Studio

Built for Our Family. Yours Might Love It Too.

Our Little Book is a family studio: a small workshop where you make personalized, illustrated storybooks starring the real people and pets your family loves. Real stories, drawn from real moments. Yours to keep as a digital book, with a hardcover available. We made the first one for our own kids.

Why We Make These

A Small Publishing House for Your Family

Most personalized books just swap a name into a template. We never thought that was enough for our own kids. The people you love are specific: the way a grandmother says your name, the bread she taught you to knead, the drive you always take together. Those details are the whole point, and they deserve a book made to hold them.

So we built something closer to a small publishing house. You describe the family and the moments worth keeping, then shape it as much or as little as you like. We write the stories and illustrate every page, with characters drawn just for your family, in a warm watercolor and ink look made to be kept for years.

The Workbench

The studio, in three tools we built

Quill and Ink are our two engines, and Paper is our editor. Quill writes and paints every page from the characters and moments you give us. Ink listens when you want a page different, and redraws just that one. Paper is where you read the finished book and reach for Ink. The engines paint in watercolor and ink today, with other styles on the way.

Two Ways to Make One

The Same Studio, at Your Pace

Both start the same way. The only difference is how much of it you want to steer.

The easy way

We Write and Illustrate It for You

Tell us who it's for and a moment worth keeping. We write the stories and paint every page, and the finished book comes to life as you watch. The magic, with little of the work.

The hands-on way

Build and Shape Every Page Yourself

Build your characters, steer each story, and read and edit every page until it's exactly right. Same studio, same engines, all the way down. It's yours, top to bottom.

The Craft

What Goes Into a Book

Consistent characters

Every character gets a reference illustration you approve. That same face then appears on every page of every story, so your cast stays recognizably themselves, story after story.

One story, or a collection

A single illustrated story, or a collection of five starring one cast, each a small moment from real life, with an opening note and a quiet closing.

Hard moments, handled with care

A move, a new sibling, a goodbye. When a book needs to hold something tender, we sit with the feeling instead of rushing past it.

Watercolor and ink, every page

A warm, hand-painted look that runs cover to cover. Yours to keep as a digital book, with a hardcover available when you want one to hold.

A book, just because

A Personalized Birthday Book

Someone you love always has a birthday coming.
